Haha genocide Biden meme haha, but tbf the latest statements I’ve seen from the administration are the most critical of Israel have seen the US be since 1948.

Still, too little, and way too late, and still too much business as usual going on, but there’s a shift happening.

Critical statements have no meaning when they are still actively supporting the genocide with weapons. The US has the power to change the situation but they refuse to. Why? Because the white house is full of racists fucks who don’t care about Palestinians.

Honestly, that’s totally fair.

Ngl, I think it's more real politik.

I am convinced even if we had a Palestinian American president, with grandparents actively being victims in the genocide, they'd still be pro-Israel.

Virtue signalling while still supporting them doesn't help for shit

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

I agree with you! But the thing is, this is the first time in history that, in US politics, signaling anything other than complete support for anything Israel does is considered a virtue. It’s a massive shift.

Completely useless if you are on the ground, starving to death and getting bombed, but a shift nonetheless.

Anything other than completely upheaving US foreign policy and throwing all of our long standing military alliances in question during a time of unmatched geopolitical tension will satisfy the “genocide joe” crowd.

I don’t even necessarily disagree, it’s just thinking through the ramifications of that

Too late?

Motherfucker, there are still human beings alive under that rubble..

What is your point exactly?

Other than name calling?

Voting for genocide is stupid

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

This is a complete non sequitur. I did not say or even imply that people should be “voting for genocide”, whatever that even means.

If you have a point to make, get to it.
