A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
- Be nice :)

Yeah, qksms's handling of group messages is really klunky, too.
Deku SMS looks nice, but it doesn't understand group SNS at all. Neither does Connect You (it also doesn't have search-by-name for texts, and has trouble linking contacts to texts). Simple SMS is now verboten.
Despite warts, I'm stuck with qksms as well.
Edit Fossify Messages has been released on fdroid. It supports groups, looks nice, and is working for me so far!
The Simple Mobile Tools are being forked at Fossify.
Messages doesn't have a release yet, but keep an eye on it for now.
I'm liking these forks! I didn't realize how much I hate the orange theme Simple uses; the change to green alone made the apps installable, for me.
Gave it a try, its really buggy but after few patches it should be fine.
Nice. Didn't see it while I was checking.
Not to also mention that the dev for qksms hasn't fixed some issues from 2017.
