W L comes from the W community on Twitch who watch streamers like Kai Cenat. They spam it into the chat.

People were definitely saying this long before 2021. I don't think it started on Twitch.
Knowyourmeme says it's from a 2003 music video
Even the site you linked to tells you it's the other way around. The W Community got it's name from "Win" commonly being shortened to W, not vice versa.
