Imagine being mad at the dude rather than his girlfriend ditching him like that.

"My girlfriend loves me, it's just these evil men that manipulated her and seduced her. Waaaaaahhhhh 😭"

My father used to love saying: "It takes two to tango"

No. His father was an amateur dancer.

Always bragging to his son about how good he was at dancing.

... It takes two to tango ... Yes! We know you are good at dancing dad!

He used it in the context that whenever either me or my brother complained to him about something, it was because both parties usually were guilty of starting shit and just one of us was complaining about it.

I'd be quite miffed at both but way too British to make a scene or likely even say anything.

I've had this happen to me as the guy supposedly stealing the girlfriend.

Except that until her boyfriend came looking for a fight, I had no idea she was with someone else and she made no indication as such.
And this was after going on several dates with her.

Suffice to say, I haven't spoken to her since. I'm not a cheater and I don't want to facilitate cheating.

And when I notified him of the fact I had no clue they were together, he was level headed enough to not be pissed at me anymore for what happened.

Him, I have actually seen and spoken to since then.

Just need to know how the story continues

This is how two adults act.

The good ending.

Either way, his face would remind you of the incident.

A tale as old as time

I suspect it was a chance of liberation for the girl that she needed to act on. Kudos, it appears to have worked for her and I hope she's doing better now.

My friend, it’s a greentext which means it’s entirely and unequivocally real. Your assessment is correct.
