A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
- Be nice :)

@eya May I ask why you think that? I their afe good reasons to don't use Firefox either...
Brave is an ad company. Use a privacy-centric browser like hardened firefox, librewolf, or ungoogled chromium.

Can we not downvote genuine questions like this? All you do is discourage people wanting to learn and make it harder for people that think differently than you to see arguments against them.
Save the downvotes for rude or bad faith comments.

I wasn't sure how to word my reply, but I was referring to all the people downvoting your response and not you. Unsure if that came across.
You'd need a very good reason to not use Firefox given that it's all that stands against a Google monopoly on web standards. I was using a Chromium-based browser myself until Opera and Microsoft both abandoned their own browser engines - after that I couldn't possibly justify not supporting Firefox.
I have made an entire post detailing (some) of the reasons why you shouldn't use Brave.
