Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Please don't post about US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected]
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

It depends on the community, instance and your post.
My advice is to simply not care that much about bans and move on.
Unfortunately since your post was removed we can't see what you actually wrote, and since you didn't post which instance the community is part of, we can't use that to give you more information.
Let me help.
Imo it's very level-headed comment.
Removed reason: Mccarthyist propaganda
Banned reason: Anticommunism
So they banned you from speaking to show you how fascist your ideas were. The irony.
Dude read the post that I retrieved, how is it fascist to be against dictatorship. I dont like the US.
That's my point. They're acting like fascists while trying to claim you're the fascist.
Sorry English is not my native language and misunderstood.
Humm, I don't think this comment is that bad other than relying on the word of regfugees and just taking their word on the issue.
I can see how communists would classify it as propaganda.
One thing that sticks out to me is that the comment talks very matter of factly about that which it seems OP doesn't have experience with.
OP states "there's very little food and decaying services blackouts and the like, political violence and prisoners"
First of all OP, don't state this as fact unless you have proof.
Anyone can make a text post, unless you have proof you could write something like the following:
It's in the news right now the blackouts and a while back happened the biggest protest since the revolution citing lack of food and medicines. A camera panning of people in the streets shows people with improvised belts since they lost much weight. It was not a peer reviewed paper but c'mon it seems acceptable.
Worldnews at lemmy.world Correction lemmy.ml
It was about the material conditions and the human rights in Cuba.
After checking the community I am going to have to press X to doubt.
That community has been closed for months.
It said Peter Link to World [email protected] cross-posted to: [email protected]@lemmy.ml I think it was World [email protected], but I'm not completely familiar with Lemmy.
In my experience lemmy.world seems to be mostly accepting of different views, but that is hardly any scientific measurment, so based on that I can't say anything.
And without the original post's content I can't give any judgement/explanation either way.
The comment is deleted I can not see it even on my phone, it was on worldnews not some political one.
