I’ve been making an uneducated guess that the screen alignment may be a hard-to-solve problem. Holding my Libra and Libra color next to each other you can see a noticeable difference in the clarity of black and white text.
I had the poke 5 that I'm comparing it to (unfortunately water damage sucks and someone spilled on it), and while I can definitely see the layer (and for color the lower resolution is noticeable), I have to try to do so, and it's not until you zoom in (and add the shitty processing of phone cameras) that it gets obvious to me (and there's a matte anti-glare film over the top).
I was also reasonably happy on 220 PPI on the boox Max 3 (out of circulation until I put a new battery in), though. That is a touch further away for the larger screen, though, so IDK. Resolution bothers me more on LCD/OLED than eink for whatever reason.
