Junior1: (overly detailed explanation, no definite completion date)

Junior2: (reason why not done, no completion date)

Senior1: I'll be done on time (no other details)

Senior2: Finished task (no other details)

Part of growing as an engineer is learning how to manage upwards. Unless relevant, don’t offer useless context to people who won’t understand the nuance anyways.
