Why is Opel still a thing when Vauxhall is clearly the better brand?
Yeah, but the Griffon is way more badass, isn't it?
Ok, yeah, you're right.
I worked in customer support for a car rental company when I was in my late teens in Ireland. An angry English woman called cause she had some minor issue. She ended up going on a rant saying "I specifically asked to not be given one of these foreign cars. Can't you give me something British, like a Vauxhall?"
I checked her account and could see she was driving an Opel Astra. She wouldn't believe me Vauxhall and Opel were the same brand.
I'm not even going to go into her referring to things as foreign while she was literally in a foreign country...
Oh dear lord, those grannies are the worst.
But yeah, most people get confused (or simply lose their minds XD) when they are revealed multiple car manufacturers work with the same car bodies (Opel/Vauxhall), (Porche/RUF), (Honda/Spoon), etc.
