To my knowledge the recent update on the reddit megathread was because users were getting malware from one of the links. Its why I moved here, actually.
I simply don't trust any company that provides a "free" service and is owned by Tencent, who has a 35% stake in Discord.

For the server I'm using Proxmox as a hypervisor, which let's me experiment with various OS's as I choose. For my phone, I have a pixel with GrapheneOS, which I love.
Giving it to China for free isn't selling. Its just called "investor relations"

I personally just use a VPN that connects to NSA servers so they think it's themselves doing the torrenting.
