Just depends on what you need it for, and what youre trying to plug into it.

For example, some people dont have spare computers to turn into a mini server, but do have $60 and the time to fiddle with a raspberry pi.

It takes some research if youve never done anything like it before, but you can drip feed it the internet via a pihole, and starve it specifically of ads and data collection. Keep the functionality, kill the leech.

Google smart tv pihole, theres a few guides, for anyone interested.

So you must also think murder mystery books are horrid crimes? As are horror movies? Lot of murder depicted there. Accepting that is akin to accepting murder itself. Whats the difference? Youre getting off and entertained by murder? Clearly your desire is no different.

Or, like, half of the BDSM community who enjoy when this is roleplayed, like what everyone watching these videos thought it was.

Unless you think anyone who plays video games with guns only find it fun cause theyre murderers?

And if you are ever in a spot of trouble, they can and will hand that over to the cops to burn you with. Trouble you dont even need to be guilty of, mind you, so long as the data implies you could be.

Like how facebook had records of a girl searching for abortion treatments, and slipped those into uncle sams pockets to put her in jail for daring to want the right of bodily autonomy.

What thing do you do today that will incriminate you tomorrow?

Pirates who obtain games they did not intend to purchase become more likely to either buy that game later on, or buy one of its successors later on.

Pirates also tend to enjoy the games they pirate, and arent often quiet about it. So a pirate is still usually giving free word-of-mouth advertising to non pirates.

Why would they openly bitch about it? Thats free advertising that it works. Not to mention, you cant poison food someone already ate. They already have full sets of scrubbed data they can revert to if they add a batch thats been poisoned. They just need to be cautious about newly added data.

Its not worth mentioning if you dont understand the tech, sure. But for people who make content that is publicly viewable, this is pretty important.

Arent you supposed to crank charge a battery for a while, and then charge the phone or other device via the battery? Or do you mean they couldnt meaningfully charge the battery at all

It can seem like whatever you want it to, its already been used and has poisoned data sets.
