That’s very disappointing. I got an old remote stashes somewhere that i would love to learn to reprogram.
Edit: i didn't check what community this was. This one is for tech news and articles specifically so i understand why its downvoted though there are better ways to help lost lemmings then like that. It is a good post.
Try [email protected] i just subscribed to them.
Copilot with gpt4 on the copilot bing app is so crap if you ask if it is copilot or using gpt4 it sill straight up tell you it is not and its just bing in chatmode which it considers seperate from the copilot chat Feature.
I use gpt-4 daily for my work, I love it. I get more done and save time.
The thing i don't trust the simulation for one bit. If you analyze it properly you will always find errors.
Its way easier to fix those errors or to adapt the solution into my needs. But the most essential component of the entire workflow is that i a human with real life expertise green light the good parts from its response. A bit like i became a teacher and chatgpt is the student. Its works extend mine but I remain at all times responsible.
Maybe in a few years it could be ready, lets just hope it doesn’t go the same way as nfts, which could have had a brilliant use to track the authenticity of journalism in a fake news world, but no, monkey craves golden bananas even if it cant digest them. And now the aftertaste is so bad people get sick at the mention.
I wish the knowledge and methods to flash devices with new/modified firmware was a common standard i take good care of my tech, so much beautiful technology in perfect condition just sitting there unusable because its software is to old.
I just bypass google entirely by hosting my own modified invidious instance and nuked my account.
Free, no clutter, blazing fast. Took maybe 20 minutes to setup.
Then you are part of the problem.
If no one bought that crap there wouldn’t be an insensitive for this psychological warfare.
Definitely a valid point. My hope is agnostic aswell, future is everything but predictable.
I do think though that on the current trajectory of the 1% owning 99% of wealth before 2030 will force some kind of change in this matter seoon, for better or worse.
If you cant afford something it doesn't matter because the creators weren’t going to get money from you either way.
Once you can afford it, really enjoyed it, deeply respect the creators, you’ll want to own it legit.
Back when i was in college paying for digital goods was a big nope but nowadays i am the proud legal owner(user?) of much that same content.
I agree copyright is broken because it is a mechanic of capitalism which has been breaking for a while.
Once we learn to live without the notion that people need to “earn a living” and instead move to a system of “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” without the money insensitive the true biggest reward anyone can receive for having an idea is seeing your brilliant idea being used by everyone for the improvement of everyone.
I didn’t know apple target audiance was a total of 400.000 people which is the total amount the’ll make of these.
Seriously this is a proof of concept for rich kids children to be test users. I doubt it will visible move the needle on their profits.
You have some strange ideas, do android users enjoy being the “target audience” of google?
I am loyal to no brand, own a mix of devices and boycot some. Love tech, fuck capitalism.
Fyi: this also depends on local factors and the kind of stuff your looking for.
In my experience ddg is awful which is strange cause its powered by bing results while Bing result are ok, on par with google for searching and finding websites/services
Startpage wich is deanonimized google works great on premise but its unusable If you want to find local services/stores or governments sites. (It makes total sense though, its the tradeoff of sharing location data). At some point the top result was a starbucks on the other side of the planet and i had actually provided the settings with my nationality and main language.
Google remains king when it comes to digital shopping, results list almost all the major local retailers for me. Bing seems to pick favorite more selectively.
In all seriously of late the tools ivebeen the most happy with are:
I seem to be naturally moving away from search engines in favor of just a few bookmarked sites where the real content is. Most of the internet that i havent seen is either not my thing or feels dead
