There are some regional differences. But iMessage is definitely not a monopoly anywhere.

Apple has removed your ability to choose for yourself what to buy because of their strong grip with iMessage.

Over here everyone uses WhatsApp. Don’t expect the EU to solve this particular problem for you.

Are both phones USB-C? If so there’s probably a difference in the advertised capabilities.

Another option is that the BMS in your phone is just more careful than Apple’s.

The UX of manual 2FA is a problem. Copying numbers with a time limit is just a crappy experience.

Account recovery is a hard problem, but thankfully it’s usually not an all or nothing deal, and it has been getting a lot better. I know Apple has a complex recovery flow that terminates at an actual human.

That’s one way to stop the scourge of SMS based 2FA.

Fuck you Ashton.

Why would you make it recurring, if it’s to fight bots? A sign up fee of 5 bucks would make more sense.

But it’s not about bots. It’s about extracting whatever cash he can.

Nah, I’m fine with this. This is the translation of the installer. It’s literally the first thing a new user sees. This cannot remain available for download.

Like the one that drove over that women a few weeks ago, then stopped on top of her and refused to move?

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
