I'm frankly impressed they got 30 methane burning rocket engines to run flawlessly like that. mind boggling how quickly it leapt off the stand. fuck musk 8 ways from sunday, but I dig spaceX, shotwell has figured out how to manage musk's bullshit apparently and is doing great work.

if you drink at the nazi bar, you might as well join their fuckwit club because you're normalizing their behavior and sponsoring their lifestyle.
The cars you see at the tesla stores are, theoretically, the best of the best. So… the ones where things sort of fit together and you can part them outside in the rain.
oof, hadn't even considered the bait and switch opportunities. yuck.
yet another reason to live musk free
The power Dealerships have in the US is wacky. They look at auto sales as a way to fuel their service sales - vehicles with half the moving parts (ev's) don't appeal nearly as much in that angle. And Tesla really pissed them all off mightily by sidestepping the entire dealer system, leading to a hilarious situation in Texas where deliveries (still, iirc) to Texans can't just happen at the Tesla outlet - you can't walk in and walk out with a car, it has to come across state lines. https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-texas-cars-ship-out-of-state-sell-texans-2021-6
Texas fucked Tesla around, so Tesla built a factory there... and it continues lol. Dealers have a lot of power.
Capitalism with the unionization rate of that time would be much better than what we have today.
True. And the taxes: Eisenhower individual income above $200,000 was taxed at 90%, above $300,000 at 91%, and above $400,000 at 92%. That'd trim Musk Bezos etc. down to size, fund education, fund social security etc.
Corporate taxes topped out at 52% - the tax rate was 30% for the first $25,000 in profits that a company made, and 52% for anything over that amount.
Even with inflation taken into account - $300,000 in 1950 = $3,772,843.22 in 2023........ entire generations have been robbed by the right wing.
signal soldier I see.
Yup. Museum of Flight (seattle) or NASM in DC are AMAZING and you can easily spend multiple days just taking in their static displays.
do game of thrones-fidelity live action for the main line, and some bitchrod love-death-and-robots-type cg for Legend of Huma and I'm in.
seveneves would make a banger series.
Florida. No other explanation needed.
