Don't worry in a year or two they'll have a competing Ai assistant and break any functionality of Gemini and leave everything half baked on the new one

I'm not sure Google needs to know more about me than they already do.

But then why would they want to give you Gemini if not for your data

I saw a dell bill board the other day saying they put the Ai in ipa and it had a picture of a laptop and a beer

at that point i just assume im the one they are keeping out and just close the tab

what I do is open a containerized tab on firefox so that youtube has no history enabled and doesnt fill the page with obnoxious content then I search for what I went there for then I close the tab so everything is purged. for my subscriptions I use a container on my server that downloads their videos and ads them to my plex server so I can watch them there when I have time to watch stuff its all in one place

I've been building for years, first on reddit now on lemmy. But I still find it interesting enough to keep posting

Watches are just more convenient. You don't need to carry a phone everywhere and with texts and calls showing on the watch you don't need to find your phone to check.

I use my watch with alarms/ timers to know when I need to clock out or in from lunch etc while I mostly leave my phone at my desk while at work so if I'm walking around the building I still get my alerts through my watch

Even cheaper to just stop using chrome

I just went with a sliger case and shoved my old gaming mobo in there and with my router and everything else in a rack it's nice to keep everything quiet and not that hot. I think rack mount is the way to go, before that I just had a table with things all over

I mean I'd hope so because eventually this one I have won't work like the previous one so I'd like a similar product when that happens not this 99 dollar box thing. I guess I hope someone else will continue making cheap dongles I think walmart has their own thing
