at this point, individual effort wont cut it beyond making people feel better. a big collective push for laws, open software, reform or whathaveyou is what it would take to move the needle.
it doesnt matter where FOSS is developed in.
no reason for our stuff to be proprietary. i hope this goes well.
the benefits of it only come around if a bunch of people are doing it.
whats bad about this is google's monopoly and influence over the market, not individual people's preferences.
