Plus if electric cars become the norm, the streets will be quiet for the first time since the industrial revolution

Probably not due to concern of both animals and those with impaired vision, but things seem to go back and forth on that front from time to time.

One of my answers was that most fuel is no longer leaded (apparently some prop plane fuel is?)

Computers are also so fast and we can access just about anything at any time. This compared to my childhood in the '80s where my dad was online (BBS and later CompuServe) and I would sometimes play around a bit when things were much slower and more sparse (and generally far more local). Obviously, this didn't work out 100% in humanity's favor, in hindsight.

I have a GoPro sitting next to me and a 4k camera in the form of my handheld computer (smartphone) all of which still kinda feels like the future a bit.

Translation services are also super cool and open up so much more for idea and cultural exchange as well as opening up travel so much more. Likewise with language study online and the preservation of endangered languages.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time -- I didn't play it until more than a decade after it came out and had zero nostalgia for it. The camera and controls were super clunky and I just couldn't enjoy it. That's actually true of a lot of N64 stuff for me.

The OP is literally about the images not being flagged as NSFW.

Again, this fails to cover both the cases of someone who is checking out mbin/lemmy for the first time as well as someone who does decide it's maybe more than a sketchy site and doesn't have subscriptions yet.

I mean, I do for a lot of porn and some other communities (I'm not personally into anime at all, so those are usually among them). There are still two issues remaining:

  • someone may be browsing and, through no fault of their own, have such a thing shown that can get them in trouble with their job or other community
  • it can impact first impressions of new and potential users who may just give everything a skip thinking it's only some shady/porn site.

I don't want to live in a bubble for one but, more importantly, a new user will not have subscriptions.

I browse by active and get this in my feed without having interest in it, so it's not just people specifically visiting certain communities.

Continue not living in the US. I got out in 2015. It does mean, however, that unless one of my parents is in serious trouble, I'm not setting foot in that country for the duration.

We bought a house with some farmland and moved in a few months ago. My farming ventures have been hit or miss ("learning how not to do it" as some might put it), but we had some fruit trees/bushes. We now have ume (plum) jam and are still into fresh blueberries and biwa (loquat). It's really nice to be able to eat things from our own land when they are most fresh and delicious.

Probably a wood chipper, but that's not going to get very far compared to the overall price here.

Pre-wiping is just smearing shit around. You're almost certainly better to start with the spray.

Wiping first is just going to smear shit around and, if you have a hairy ass, get it more into the hair. Skip the pre-wipe and it will be just fine.
