They said they believe.

Only knowledge has sources; but beliefs sound cool.

I don't know why I used a semicolon there, but it's staying.

No, it's definitely hacking because that makes me a hacker with my friends sports TV subscription ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ˜Ž

When people make me play Monopoly, I always take the housing shortage strategy for the guaranteed fast win. People hate me, but rules are rules, and I hate that game.

Call me pretentious, but I genuinely forget about Facebook and that lots of people still care about it.

I'd be surprised if it lasted longer than any other socially progressive trend. A few weeks, tops, with largest proportions falling off in the first week.

This is the reality of social momentum these days. Resistance is no threat because it has extremely brief lifespan before moving onto the next thing to be a part of.

How dare you propose freedom in the land of the free. No freedom for you! Not until you pledge an allegiance.

I think you underestimate how well developed the VA industry is in Japan

Oh, no. That's the point! It's so, so good. If English dubbers just copied it enough, it would still be decent enough. They don't have to explore, practice, or come up with excellent VA, just copy, even amateurishly, and it'll be good.

I think the issue is many English dubbers try really hard to speak to match the mouth movements and it ends up sounding so unusual. But also, stuff like choosing some young high pitched voice when the original actor was a deep sombersome voice that matches the character's appearance and demeanor.

I don't think the English dub is good enough.

That's usually the case, which I find unusual since the original voice acting is there; just copy it.

After Amazon said there'd be more ads recently, yep, more ads tonight. Done with it. My living room is not a marketing platform. It's finally time to go back to the convenience and ease of piracy.

The new model is based around pirating Clarkson's Farm and donating to farmers. That's the point anyway. No need to bring Jeff into it.

"Nintendo targets free marketing that's much more effective than their really, really weird ads featuring skinwalkers from an alternate reality attempting to appear like normal humans doing the gaming."

Yeah, it's tricky that, especially with international stuff. When something kicks off internationally and suddenly a bajillion charity groups appear, it's troublesome.

And it's my rule of thumb to just disregard anything from a religion, I won't even bother checking into them. Whenever there's been a charity called out for being evil, it's ironically Christian-based.

I was thinking about it. I donate to quite a few charities, but they specifically mean something to me. Others I don't really think about, though they're good. I guess we all have a threshold or we'd be broke and for many that could be no donations at all or just a fiver the the street guy.

I haven't done web work for well over a decade and recently was surprised to learn that Wordpress is still very relevant. I remember back then, seeking alternatives as we expected it to become more of a legacy thing a few years down the track, so we were on the lookout for future-proofing client sites with a better foundation. At that point it was a decade old and annoying af because it morphed into a messy way of doing websites because people misused it's original purpose. Brain had to think like a blog and then trick it into doing what you want, kind of like using tables to structure pages before CSS-P saved the day.

And no, you cannot find the original post anymore. At least it's missing for me, the OP, unless I locate it through inbox history.

Coincidentally, the meme was about mods on shitposts lol. I'll be banned soon ๐Ÿซก
