I remember reading an article about an open sourced 3D printable "suicide pod" anyone could build by themselves.

Oh, it's going forward, regardless the president personal dislike (devout catholic) and the cries from the church and religious groups.
My country is going through a very disputed approval over legislation for medically assisted death, for incurable conditions.
It was sent to the Constitutional Court three times and twice vetoed by the president, one for political reasons.
The majority of the population supports it.
I really want to trust you're throwing a dark joke up but the sheer concept of suicide booths is a very harsh critique at a failed society. A very failed society. For it to become a joke...Call me square but that is a joke haimed to who laughs on it.
Can you explain your point of view?
Biased as I am, as I live in a country where the right to repair is by default granted, discussion ofwhat someone can or cannot do to what is rightfully theirs is... nonsensical.
Even before Apple allowed for third party repairs, here there were shops replacing iPhone batteries, screens, etc, because we can. We paid for it, that's it.
But the right to repair a vehicle? And the argument against involving children? What sort of reasoning is supporting that claim?
[...] Apple claims that empowering consumers and bolstering independent repair shops will turn states into “hacker meccas.”
What does that even mean?
The car industry insists that making it easier and cheaper to repair modern cars [...]
Afraid of someone doing a better job than your own service?
[...] will be a boon to sexual predators.
What?
That escalated quickly!!!
Why?
Not that I use the junk this company ships to stores but a part of me would like to hear the meeting where someone proposed this and the rationale to support it.
Reads well but I can't make any sense of it and that is fine.
I have bought my dream house. It's old, cranky and somewhat scary. Now I only need the money to be able to return it to its former glory.
What I would want to add to her would be a few hidden compartments, one or two small root cellars to store wine and some balconies. If I really had the money, I'd modify the roof and build a small greenhouse/sunroom, big enough to put two chair and a small bookcase, after stuffing it with plants.
And you'll be awsome in that move.
