Been using Fdroid to the point where my first boot into a new phone is:

Open chrome > download fdroid > open settings > uninstall/disable every single application I can > open fdroid > install all the relevant apps I require for making my phone useful

I'm just waiting for a small life upgrade in order to be able to support some app developers; it will be money better spent than using the standard google apps.

Meanwhile, in France, wine consumption is down due to craft beers to the point the government is going to spend 200 millions to prevent market crash.

Not being a beer drinker I have to ask: why the IPA craze? Aren't lagers, stouts and whatever other beers an option for crafters?

Don't these guys learn?

In a similar affair, they were forced to unb(l)unde(r) Internet Explorer from the OS and provide a tool to help the user choose their preferred web browser during install/first startup.

Now this.

I do and I don't regret it.

Can I get back to you, say, in three weeks?

I'm about to put together a machine based on a AB350 chipset, with a Ryzen 5 (g series, for graphics from the start) and after that I intend to install on it a budget RX580.

If the thing doesn't ignite or explode, I'll gladly share the end result.

As an AMD fanboy, I approve of this.

And now, for a serious note: been running linux daily for almost 20 years and AMD machines are, per my personal experience, always smoother to install, run and maintain.

I mentioned that in particular because the house I'm living has beams that were treated with that mix when it was built, back in the 40's. And the neither rots nor gets infested. But the added fire damage is there.

Was about to mention that. But you forget to mention the half-and-half mix of oil and diesel to prevent wood rot and insects.
