In the EU you don't need to follow their process. Any GDPR request can be made to them through any channel and they must comply. If they don't, then the next step is to file a complaint with your local data protection office, or the data protection office of the European country where the offending company is represented.

This was the final straw that pushed me to using stuff like piped and libretube exclusively.

Thats not how the law works, and the law is above any corporation. At least this is still true in Europe. So if the law states that I dont need to give up any rights, then I... Dont need to give up any rights

I cant answer about the separation of username/password, but unnecessary animations seem to be a product of the ensh*ttification of the web
