If it’s under new management I’d say all bets are off. Especially when they gut half their workforce. Something tells me they won’t miss axing a program that costs them money.

I love how every country is broke, in turmoil, people are starving, no homes, and it’s like $8b fine. $20b fine! $5b fine! Like who is paying where is this going and who comes up with these figures that just end up being a number on a screen.
It’s like telling Big Foot to sit down. He’ll sit when HE wants to sit lol
While most companies resist break-ups, the corporate history is that most companies actually perform better after they’ve been split up
That’s a stat he made up in his head btw. Completely baseless claim.

My system won’t update for some reason despite all my efforts. Maybe this is not such a bad thing…
The aTV will give you the best experience when it comes to dark patterns. But just note, a new model is on the horizon, so hold out a little longer.
It seems like the most obvious answer is to build your own with a Pi. Run Linux and then install any player you want. You could even use the Pi as the head then network your storage.
Also, FWIW, the latest Apple TV hasn’t seen an upgrade in about 3-4 years, so if you do go that route, bear that in mind. A new model is coming sooner than later (hopefully this year).
Nah I don’t think so. That’s like saying these Hefty Brand paper towels I have in my hand won’t be able to pick up this 500ml spill on my counter! Which is absurd because these bad boys can hold up to 1L of fluids each! That’s twice the absorption for pennies on the dollar! Which is why I trust them for all my spills and clean ups! Now available in bio packaging!
I’ve owned one of their 850UK 4K LCDs and currently their C4 OLED. I can say unequivocally that their software is ABYSMAL. They make great panels. No doubt. But they really have no business deploying them. The worst I’ve ever used.
