I think he's implying anon's family was the trash that took itself out.

It doesn't matter; they're controlling media and entertainment and that makes them always bad regardless of any extenuating circumstances.
All of those problems can be solved by breaking apart all of those corporations, putting all modern franchises in the public domain and legalizing pirating. Change the law solely for our benefit and not theirs. If they don't make content anymore, great; we'll shut off their shitty AIs and make shit ourselves like we were supposed to be doing the whole time.
For that, I recommend lots of vodka
How many people are in the same boat and won't admit it to themselves for fear of emotional pain though?
😨😨😨 They would have to use a picture of a bedbug, wouldn't they?
That's troubling.
It doesn't even save you time. It often takes an hour to get your food and when you do, either stuff is missing because the driver stole from you or the food is all nasty, soggy and cold. Then you have to argue with their customer service who may or may not give you a refund depending on their mood and how much they hate their job that day.
Nah, fuck that. We ought to encourage people to cook on their own more, and/or pay our neighbors to cook for us if we really can't for some reason. We don't need corporate garbage to feed ourselves.
I hope no one ever uses it for political shit.
Are there automated censors on Lemmy?
Doesn't mean they should repost censored content. Respect that this is a different, freer format and go find the uncensored version.
It's because they took advantage of the lockdowns and the superior position it put them in to assert control over their customers -- as in you. You're not a patient to them; you're a customer. They do stupid shit like that to make sure you know they're in control of the interaction. They've been doing it since 2020 and will keep doing it until people push back, somehow.
They get to control the means of production and high technology.
