He was in a tough situation. We need to remember the extent of right wing vitriol and hate. Anyone who speaks out against Trump gets death threats. Their concerts would have had protestors outside. Continuing the tour could have been a safety risk for their fans. I'm not saying cancelling everything was the right move, but it's not as simple as "dick riding for Donald Trump."

They definitely deserve this. Still, I hope their fab business works out because we need another high end fab (especially a US based one). It's exorbitantly expensive, too much for anyone but an established player to enter the market.

I went through an scientology phase (academic interest, not a follower) and have seen a ton of documentaries on the topic. This one is by far the best, and really just a well made documentary in general.

Wild Wild Country

A bit overlong (typical for Netflix), but it has that irresistible "Surely this won't get any crazier" thing going for it. It's also a bit unique among cult documentaries in that the cult leader (technically second in command I think, but the de facto leader for a time) is interviewed and is remarkably candid about everything.

I agree with this. But also, this time is the closest to "end of the world" stakes we've had in recent memory. We have a literal criminal, rapist, and fraudster who already tried to overthrow the government once leading the polls.

I know it's just a meme, but Krusty would be a silly and ineffective president at worst. You'd have to combine the worst traits of many of the shows most horrible characters to create someone similar to trump, and even then I'm not sure any character in that show attempted a coup and sent a mob to attack the Capitol.

I can't tell if this is a good idea or a bad idea. Probably a bad idea at that price point with those specs, but this seems like a much more usable and useful form factor than a fully head mounted system when you factor in the weight of the thing on your head and the input method. Like, I might actually be able to do work on this thing unlike an apple vision pro.

Top sku iPad pros with the keyboard case cost more than some MacBooks and people try and use them like MacBooks, which is crazy to me given the severe limitations of iPadOS compared to macOS.

You can order that tablet with Ubuntu, mint, Manjaro, zorin, elementary, etc. There's gotta be some kind of driver support to build on, no?

I agree, but to be fair the title was a little clickbaity and was seen by a whole lot of people who didn't watch the video and just scrolled past it.

Chromebook makes sense. They could also do full on Linux. Star labs has a tablet coming out, so they don't have to reinvent the wheel for software (I assume, I haven't tried touchscreen Linux).

Surely they are aiming for a repairable and modular smartphone eventually. That's going to be super hard to do. My guess is their next form factor will be a tablet.
