Saving a click:

By doing so, you'll quickly realize that about 49% of the massive $365 billion portfolio is invested in just one stock: Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL).

It also works with opening up the info to anyone, not just you. That's one of the key issues, even if a trusted party is accessing the info there's a chance that a malicious party can get access too. Or the trusted party becomes malicious later (government changes, company changes hands, etc.)

People generally don't want everything in their home live streamed 24/7. If anything it has the potential for abuse, like if someone knows when you'll be out of home for a few hours

Well that's an odd and inflammatory headline to use for the issue

So... run a better one and people will follow?

Interesting, haven't heard of that one but I'll take a look. Thanks

There's always going to be someone taking care of the platform you're using. You're free to make your own instance or community too

I agree some platforms need more oversight boards and options for arbitration, in particular when the automated systems make mistakes and there's no way to fix it.

However that adds a WHOLE LOT of overheard, something that the one Lemmy community you're upset about does not have the capacity for

You can also apply some Vaseline to them afterwards. It helps a lot with keeping them soft and less annoying, so you're less likely to disrupt the healing process

How so?

I loved the 3D platformers from back then, including the ones based on whatever movie was out at the time

I think this is only a small part of their fediverse experiments

There's a lot that a browser could help with here, or even better apps and tools to make things easier

Odd suggestion, but do you still have their contact info? Could you ask them? 😄

You could also send them a small thank you gift and ask them with that, so not to make it seem like you're accusing them of anything

It's a reasonable request, you could say that you need to keep your phone secure for work, and while it was great that the stranger was able to get it to you, you're following up on if there is some bug you need to look into

Unrelated, it might be good to set up a "If lost, call ____" type message. If you don't have another number, email also works.
