I get very annoyed when I'm looking for something that should be listed, but instead it tries to search for it in Edge (or now copilot).

I have never wanted to use the device search as a way to search the web.

edit: There's a recent question about it, and the solution was to edit the registry with a new value. That is not something I would feel comfortable walking someone through:

In particular, I think there are parts of this guide that are relevant to how we introduce new technologies to other people, be it privacy tools or the Fediverse.

Yep, bitwarden would help for phishing so she isn't typing in passwords in different places. If you can, you can also get the fingerprint set up so it's easy for her to scan. You can also get external ones for desktop, but I'm not sure how good the sensors are so YMMV

Thank you :)

I liked the colors, so it felt like time to swap it

That one is good! You can also ask in [email protected] if you'd like :)

We do! We actually just ended the dispute peacefully a few months ago:

Can we get that version here in Canada

I looked up the project and saw this bit

The terms Israel set for the project contractually forbid Amazon and Google from halting services due to boycott pressure.[7][8] The tech companies are also forbidden from denying service to any particular government entities.

How does that work? The citation for that section was from 2021

Am I correct in my understanding that:

  • governments are working on a new standard for cars, to improve their safety/efficiency
  • the lobby opposes the new standard
  • so some manufacturers are leaving that lobby because they don't want to oppose the regulation

I'm curious which manufacturers would want to oppose the regulations, since pretty much all of them are planning on a full electric future

I would have run a malware scan

While Google also has problems, it was a pretty smooth switch from SwiftKey to google keyboard (years ago for me to be fair)
