Eeeeh, kinda? Gargoyles weren't specifically VR users, though they were using VR. They also had computer parts strewn all over their body and if I recall correctly, they had cameras for surveillance, too.

Piracy, actually, but yes. That tweet was such a dumpster fire. All it accomplished was it showed how grossly misinformed Linus was about this topic. How ad blocking equals copyright infringement is beyond me.

I think it depends on the use case. Personally, I simply don't jive with the idea of conductive liquids swirling inside my expensive PC.
