It used to be much easier to fabricate unsubstantiated nonsense, especially about race. That kind of study is just not feasible because nobody is going to let anyone else experiment on humans, and they shouldn't; instead we all just look at sociology data and, unsurprisingly, it basically says wealth and nutrition determine most everything and everything else is close to statistical insignificance. That's why it's rational to be utterly skeptical of anyone purporting to figure out anything about racial differences; burden of proof is massive.
