I bought a plug-in hybrid last week. I'd have gotten a pure EV, but I take road trips sometimes, and I don't want to rely on the patchy changing network in the US.

Another factor is that I rent a house, and there's already one EV to charge at 120V. The wiring can't really handle a second charger, and I didn't want to always be fighting over it.

It's my favorite scripting language, but far from my favorite language overall.

Python is great for what it is, but the best language developed in your lifetime? Its type system is janky and bolted on. A good type system is one of the main things I look for to call a programming language great.

Using biometric data to unlock your phone does not make you more vulnerable to petty criminals.

If you're that afraid if the people who build phones, why are you ok with using any device that can access the internet?

Have you actually seen Idiocracy? There's a whole lot of fuckery being glossed over here.

My brother in Christ, you are literally giving an example of how browser profiles and OS accounts solve different problems.

The joke is making fun of anyone who does assume incognito mode is hiding anything from third parties.

All the Chrome bashing around this issue is pathetic. Every major browser has the same feature and none that I know of give it a name that makes the purpose any more clear. It's obvious a lot of people have an irrational hatred of Chrome and don't understand the actual issues involved.

Browser profiles serve very different needs from OS level accounts.

That's great for sites you visit routinely but way more hassle than it's worth for one-off visits.

You're reading a lot into that person's comment that isn't there.
