I bought a laptop that came with a broken charger, I could easily test it myself as a friend also had an HP laptop with the same brick (this was before the days of USB C).

I tried to make a warranty claim and they wanted me to send the laptop too and wipe the HDD, the RMA process would take weeks on top of that.

I ended up buying a 3rd party charger, I'm sure their RMA process is overly long and convoluted to deter people from making warranty claims

NZ is usually used as a Guinea pig by tech companies, small population, English speaking, etc.

However I think it might be that the Alll Blacks might face off the Springboks in the Rugby World Cup Final and Elon wants to minimise the shitposting on Twitter. /s

I am a light user so I just stayed on version 3.0.2

It works for my use case as it is and the day it doesn't, I'll look for whatever fork is most popular

A friend works for a large-ish company that makes a product on Unity (not a game tho) and he just told me they were moving to Godot ASAP

I'm saving this phrase.

I had a PM postpone a critical part of a project since June, the hard deadline is on September 15th... I've insisted to start with it months ago and now he's scrambling everyone to get this done yesterday.

We're not gonna make it and I don't care anymore.

AdAway is the best choice if you're rooted.

Some banking apps might break, but the DNS request log will help you debug and put the necessary domains on a whitelist. Or you can just google it.

My manager got a promotion with a hefty salary increase, then the company announced a hiring and salary freeze, then gave me a promotion with more responsibilities (some of my manager's as well) but with the same salary.

I quited a few months later as soon as I could secure something else
