Generally when you share media via social and messaging apps the meta data is stripped automatically. So for the most part everyone is perfectly fine even with regular media where you have things like geolocation meta data enabled.

At least once every 6 months I come across a top Google result trying to download malicious scripts. The web searches are innocent, eg. "Iso standard metric thread" or "bee keeper hive monitor", which are both search terms in the past where a top result had malicious scripts.
So companies like Proton and BitWarden are harvesting your data with their free tiers?
I tried Windows Defender a couple of years ago for an entire year. I thought it was dog water. The anti-ransomeware feature was the only nice thing about it. I now use BitDefender.

In my country hospitals and the like tend to call with hidden numbers, so it wouldn't work here.
In the country I reside, everyone pays for the roads through income tax. Vehicle owners pay emissions tax. I think this is fair since everyone relies on the roads even if they never travel down a road themselves.

Social media and messaging apps strip meta data when you share media, so for the most part no one can see the information you care about. It's only when you start sharing content via services like OneDrive where people will be able to see the meta data.
