My Pine64 order wasn't marked as a gift, and it turned up at my door completely untaxed π³

Yikes, that is embarassing.
Is opencart written in PHP? Bcrypt has been a thing for decades now, and is literally a drop in replacement that handles salting et al. If the developer was hesitant to implement that, I'd rather go use Magento or shudder Shopify
Those sony Trinitrons sounded so damn good, you could hook up two rca's to the AV jack and use the tv as an reasonably good speaker
Ooh interesting, never knew they started a rewrite!
The reports of poor performance with the PHP version was one of the things that pushed me towards using Syncthing instead when I was looking for a solution to view my documents and files from various devices
And don't call piracy stealing.
The companies should make it nice and easy for us to watch everything in one place, in high quality, from any device, for nice and cheap! ...oh, that was Netflix a decade ago βΉοΈ
Pretty difficult to convince the likes of minds on Lemmy to pay $100 for every streaming service in the world - to get a pretty awful experience, when you can get a much, much better experience without giving up your hard earned $$
I will fly my flag high for the free seas π΄ββ οΈπ΄ββ οΈπ’
I see a fair few comments about this quite frequently, and I completely agree - there's a lot of video content that is better off as a written piece. Not everyone wants to sit through 10-15 mins of video that they could have skimmed or read in 2
Vegetarian β Vegan (unless you actually mean vegetarian?)
Florida man must have had a ton before encountering that racoon
I love this, go get that refund! Should have happened a lot earlier though
Literally rent free lol
Dbrand has a really strong case here IMO, since they pretty heavily edit the internals and add a few easter eggs, which are still visible in Casetify's final designs
Dbrand discovered Casetify allegedly copied 117 different designs, down to the many digital manipulations it made to the images. Dbrand says it holds registered copyrights for each of these products, all of which were registered before Casetifyβs product launch.
Also, TIL:
Disclosure: The Verge recently collaborated with Dbrand on a series of skins and cases
Ohhh it wasn't a Pinephone I ordered, it was a Pinecil v2 and a bunch of accessories and stuff for it. Sorry I should have been clearer lol.
The pinecil is absolutely amazing so far, however the included stock tip is pretty rubbish, doesn't distribute heat too well. The optional extra ones are much better. The whole thing is deceptively small, I thought it was going to be much larger!
