Axis is the only european one that I'm aware of... everything else looks an awful lot like a rebadged Hikvision or ONVIF P2P in fancy clothing

Oh gosh, I accidentally misread the title as "Hikvision Vision Purge Ethnic Minority Analytics" and wondered why that exists

Waymo cars seem to operate much more sensibly than Cruise ones from what I've watched and read... although IMO that is mainly down to the car calling it quits much sooner and asking for an operator to take control, and driving in a different environment in general.

Cruise on the other hand seems to just carry on anyway, unless its lidar is blocked 😳

That sounds an awful lot like a games console... thank goodness Elon can't buy Microsoft

Elmo's single letter "X" is almost unfilterable on some apps... Adding a space before/after can help with accidentally blocking more content to some extent but it's a big ooof situation

Depends on whether the twitter thing turns out to be a PayPal, Cashapp or an actual bank... if he makes it a Cashapp then direct bank transfers are off the table AFAIK

At least zuck gives people some time to migrate to another service before he enshittifies it... elon on the other hand wasted no time at all, he lit up the twitter shitter pretty much immediately

I don't ☹️

There is a hidden LocationServices system app from Qualcomm that proxies the communication on some devices - however removing this causes a bootloop from what I've read, and would prevent Android from being able to identify your location even if it didn't cause a bootloop.

I use a Fairphone 3 though with a bunch of Google services in the stock OS disabled, so I've settled for just keeping my location data out of Google's hands

Edit: add info

The Qualcomm chipset is making these requests, most likely for GPS almanac data (satellite positioning).

Older chipsets send these almanac requests to izatcloud.net, unencrypted, containing your IMEI. No idea if newer chipsets have improved things though.
