IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. It's basically like discord where you can talk to people online but it's very old. check out https://libera.chat if you haven't experienced IRC before it would be a good starting point :D

well it's really easy.

  • just go to https://libera.chat
  • then press connect
  • now press webchat
  • bam you are connected to server and now can chat about your favourite topic :D

I personally use private github repo as my diary. I don't want to lose my data by accident. I trust github more than I trust myself

since you don't log IP addresses I can get most of the stuff using Lemmy api. no need to write SQL queries.

wait, does the lifetime of cookie is decided by browser? I thought it is handled by the server and the server decided when to expire certain cookie.

are you opening the page in private window? that can be the problem.
