you can make an account there however you can also use it without an account.

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. It's basically like discord where you can talk to people online but it's very old. check out https://libera.chat if you haven't experienced IRC before it would be a good starting point :D

well it's really easy.

just go to https://libera.chat
then press connect
now press webchat
bam you are connected to server and now can chat about your favourite topic :D

I personally use private github repo as my diary. I don't want to lose my data by accident. I trust github more than I trust myself

since you don't log IP addresses I can get most of the stuff using Lemmy api. no need to write SQL queries.

wait, does the lifetime of cookie is decided by browser? I thought it is handled by the server and the server decided when to expire certain cookie.

I keep having to login to Lemmy on any iPhone browser every time I navigate to a new page. Is there a way to keep me logged in? in c/[email protected]

are you opening the page in private window? that can be the problem.
