That's what I meant as it being useless now for that purpose. Unless there's designated dissent areas or times, that strategy just won't work any more (and if you have to be 'in the know' to enable it, you're not recruiting/convincing any new people).
AirDrop has been used in China by pro-democracy activists to spread their message relatively safely (as you can't get away with that using the internet). Apple has already made AirDrop useless for that purpose in a recent update, but I guess China is still working on cracking down on it.
I think it's just less space efficient compared to having all the seats facing forward. The actual car will probably have a more traditional layout.

I like being able to queue an episode of something to listen to, and then going back to listening to music again. If it wasn't for that, it's kind of a crappy podcast player, yeah.
It's just another stealth layoff. They've calculated that x% would rather quit than move, and that probably roughly corresponds with the amount of people they want to cut. On top of that, Texas probably provides tax incentives and has a cheaper labour pool and fewer labour protections.
