Our company does not allow you to use your private computer for anything work related because of security. If you want to work from home they buy you a laptop to use. Which really makes sense from a security point of view.

It's probably 15 years ago I used XMPP the last time. Back then there were many compatibility problems between the apps and especially on the mobile phone with push notifications, etc. There were problems sending media and VOIP calls were non existent outside of the Google clients.
My guess is that some of those things improved but I have not heard anyone in my circles using it, especially since Matrix became a bit more popular, most of the Open Source projects on IRC also moved to Matrix.
I think Matrix is the way to go because you can host your own server and be completely self hosting without a 3rd party involved.
But there are still if, while, function definitions, etc. in scripting languages. It doesn't seem to me that different than even programming in assembler. In Assembler you also call subroutines, etc. and in every other language you also call functions from libraries.
Is scripting programming?
I remember not long ago Nintendo attacked the emulators and won, they didn't attack reddit. So yeah, you might be not OK offering this emulator.
I have never been really depressed, even in bad times in my life I was able to see a better future. My mother has been diagnosed with depression when she was around 30 but when we look at any pictures from the past, other than her wedding, she always looked depressed.
As far as I understand it's some chemical inballance in the body but our scientists weren't able to pinpoint how to fix it (yet).
This makes me sad for my mom, but not depressed. My own life has been getting better and better, especially since covid started. I'm one of the lucky ones I guess.
I don't get it because my phyton code is indented exactly the same as all my other code. Each block of code one tab in/out, how else would you do it?
Oh, and I use Arch btw.
Capitalism is awesome!
