Batteries don’t fail after 5 years, for starters. Source: literally any used car site

Given that the point of lab grown meat is to stand in for butchered meat, I think it’s fair to assume they’ll target the same taste/texture. Honestly, what’s even the point of the discussion without that premise baked in?

Not saying you can’t, but is it the “best”?

I love building websites in C!

Oh really? There’s one language that’s “best” in all contexts and for every single use case? Care to enlighten the rest of us oh wise one?

Nah it’s you.

How is this a relevant question? Nobody said anything about some governing body. There have been discussions on many instances about whether to federate with them or not, and it’s accurate to say that some people think we should.

What they’re actually doing is super shady, and reason enough to cause concern without exaggerating.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 months ago

Agreed, but the article title implies that they are in fact currently revealing names, which is just not the case.

I swear some people are just contrary.

It seems as though nobody in this thread actually read the article. They are not revealing user names on the site. The objection here is having the real name as part of your private profile data, in case of a future data breach. It’s a real concern, but orders of magnitude less serious than what everybody is assuming.

Shame on Ars for the misleading clickbait headline.
