My work never ends and always demands more. I've just learned to shut it off and ignore it nights and weekends unless I have an ever critical deadline. Yes my child is an early tween and pretty self sufficient...that and a tough opponent in Super SmashBros. I'm in a pretty happy place

Happy with your catered silos isn't the same thing as no silos.
This is the only way. I've been doing it for years, in part because I absolutely hate catered content based on what I've viewed/read. Doing so only increases silos. At least with reddit (RIP)/Lemmy you pick from a potpourri of silos that are don't change depending on what I've read.
Just an example, but I've worked in central Africa and was recently at a very rural hospital where there was no running water and no electricity (other than local solar), and while there they received an airborne blood delivery via drone from a facility about 100 miles and about 4 hour drive time away. This was extremely helpful and managed through Internet communication.
Democratization of communication resources substantially helps other facets. I hate this sort of knee jerk whataboutism. Aid can and should be multifaceted.
