I just deafen the complaints of tm friends and break the tether every time.

PS: as a lemmy geeky user, every time means like once or twice.

It's a feel thing. I have two screens, with a minimalistic bar taking about 15 pixels on the top side of the secondary monitor. No opened apps or anything displayed there, to see that I'll just press Alt tab or the plasma overview (very gnome-like). That feels less cluttered than a bar that, to have the floating effect, steals me more vertical space than what I have.

This is very personal so it's nice that KDE let's us do whatever we want. IDK about the default choices as long as they let us change it to whatever we like, so I don't really care.

1.5 years? So this dude without formally learning programming wants to build an OS. Curious.

My interpretation is that 1080p is 1k and these are 4 times as many pixels, so it kinda makes sense? Not really, but w/e.

It's not that they don't criticise, it's that when something negative shows up, they defend it showing several biased sources, as if they meant anything, or jump into whataboutism.

Whenever someone posts something negative and promotes discussion or critique about it, lo and behold, see how this other country is also horrible and see the good things mine does. Like dude, cool, let us discuss this and you can create another post for those things. It's pretty clear that they want to divert the conversation.

And if he wants to align with the US, why would he ban her, when she's being a motor against the Russian government, a clear enemy of the US? His actions go against the assumption that he is US aligned.

Well, YouTube's music quality is basically trash but if you are happy with it don't look for alternatives because you won't find them. Almost anyone I know that wants a music streaming service would not stand that quality for long though.

For context, I use tidal since it's the one one that can serve HiFi music in a native Linux client (third party).

I pay less taxes than the average American, therefore my healthcare is free for me in comparison. I also don't pay for private insurance either.

Anything above zero for cancer checkups seems way too high for me, from Spain.

If the AR floating windows/screens work as they advertise, then it replaces 1-2-3 screens, in whatever configuration you want them in. You connect it into a gaming PC and use the augmented floating windows as virtual monitors. Then use a mouse or whatever, it's more about the windows.

Later you want to see a movie. Minimise all your virtual monitors and deploy a big ass monitor to watch it in a big screen, without moving from you comfy gaming setup.

I'll wait until third party apps implement this feature and the price gets at least halved. I'm the only one I've seen that has mentioned this use case but I honestly feel like it has potential.

Then maybe use an editor with a decent linter and check the problems tab or just red line markers?? I also have those kind of runtime errors sometimes but I take the blame.

Oh man, you got downvoted but you are right, I just checked the local store online page and all the bravia announce their smartness as Google tv, not AndroidTV. Maybe it's still modified but that needs to be checked before buying anything.

And I said in another comment, the best thing will be to buy a separate sort tv box and connect it to whatever tv we have. Or to search for whatever that works, idk.
