I also think Plex probably has open vulns and it's also a more known target. The nail that sticks out furthest gets nailed down.

That port changing stuff is way outdated and hasn't been effective for a long time.

Just like opting out of using a Microsoft account to log into windows, the grips will get tighter and tighter over time until you are forced to use butt hole ID to unlock your screen.

It's the year 1998. I don't understand why half life is a whopping 300MB compared to dooms 15MB. 🤣

Yeah, this is my exact hope. I was initially considering the index but don't want to deal with beacons and whatnot. Metas sets seem pretty good so if valves next gen is anything comparable I'll probably get one.

Steam deck is a banger, I love this thing. If the same care and attention is brought to an index 2, slam dunk.

Deleted circa 2010. Never looked back.

YouTube. Duckduckgo.

Personally I'm running 13 containers for various things. Worth it.

And this is why I never considered buying one, because meta owns it. There was also the time they forced login with a meta or Facebook account or something, then they reverted that. But these kinds of things could happen at any point in time.

And a whole bunch of other shit.

Seems easy to do, just ask everyone to boot a new Linux install when they want to use some service.

Can't wait for windows recall to leverage AI to automatically report you to police because of things you've done on your computer or some other dystopian shit.

Please help. I tried chatgpt, google, duckduckgo, I can't find it. The background tune is definitely reminding me of some trance track from the 2000's era and I can't figure it out.

...or am I crazy?

Spotify is officially raising its Premium subscription rates in the US come July, following reports of the move in April. The platform is increasing its Individual plan from $11 to $12 monthly and its Duo plan from $15 to $17 monthly — the same jump as last year's $1 and $2 price hikes, respectively. However, its Family plan is going up by a whopping $3, increasing from $17 to $20 monthly. The only subscribers getting a break are students, who will continue to pay $6 monthly.

Spotify announced the price hikes less than a year after its previous one last July. Before that, Spotify hadn't raised its fees since launching a decade and a half ago. I guess it was too optimistic to hope the next increase would also take that long, especially with Spotify's continued focus (and money dump) on audiobooks.

Premium subscribers should receive an email from Spotify in the next month detailing the price hike and providing a link to cancel their plan if they would prefer to do so. Users currently on a trial period for Spotify will get one month at $11 after it ends before being moved up to a $12 monthly fee.

I used to have a script that would check a text file that I had hosted on nextcloud so I could paste in spotify URI's whenever I wanted, then nightly it would run a bash script that would leverage spotify-ripper (https://github.com/hbashton/spotify-ripper). It would see if tracks were already downloaded, and skip them, and download anything missing. It would take care of the album art and ID3 tags and everything, straight from the source.

I've seen a few suggestions, like lidarr-extended, but that does not allow you to plug in spotify credentials, for example. There's zotify, and ZotifyFrontend, but looks like it's not really able to "sync". I also found DownOnSpot but that seems like Zotify but different.

Are there any good solutions anyone is using currently?

Any longer
