You can also back up your compose file and data directories, pull the backup from another computer, and as long as the architecture is compatible you can just restore it with no problem. So basically, your services are a whole lot more portable. I recently did this when dedipath went under. Pulled my latest backup to a new server at virmach, and I was up and running as soon as the DNS propagated.

Local ordinances specify minimum space requirements for trees, which may mean that they're not allowed to be put in certain places. Also, they can cause pedestrian safety issues, as well as Ada compliance problems in confined spaces. This is an easy way to get something green in a place where you would otherwise not see a tree because of a lot of beaurocratic bullshit.

Obviously, you can argue that all that needs to be changed. And you'd be right. And in many places it's moving that way. But then you also wouldn't get anything done for quite some time. This is an option where there might be no other viable options at the moment.

I had an update reboot pending and it seems like that got rid of it for me.

Nope... lasted all of 10 minutes.

Defaults. And I have a vps set up as an encrypted sync target because all my devices aren't necessarily on and with a network connection at the same time.

I'm using syncthing for logseq and koreader with unrestricted battery use on grapheneos, and my phone says it has used less than 1% of battery.

I'd guess it's one of these.

Quigon trusted the force. There were 2 paths, and he hoped for the one that didn't come to pass. And then he trusted that Obiwan would be able to stand in for him if he needed to.

The most damning thing he ever said was 'you were my brother Anakin. I loved you.' Because a brother was not what Anakin needed.

But, you know what, I blame the whole thing on Yoda. One kind word from Yoda. One reassurance from this being who had lived so long in the world he literally had no right to not have god like wisdom, and it all would have been averted. So many possible off ramps and they failed anakin at every turn. It's the most tragic story ever.

I've consumed plenty of star wars. You're spot on.

Is it the petzl zipka? Because if it isn't I'd love to know what it is. I have one, but they've apparently stopped making them, and it's so much better not having an elastic strap.

You'd probably be a whole lot better off with a small air horn. They're used frequently in training problem behaviors out of aggressive dogs, and they work wonders.

I'm not one to be all doom and gloom about ai, but giving one its own small nuclear reactor, presumably one that's in close proximity to it and separate from the local power grid... that's obviously going to have substantial security measures around it... and be that much more difficult to cut off if need be....

I mean, it's starting to sound a lot like an unbelievable plot hole in a bad sci fi movie isn't it?

I've never identified with someone else's comment so hard.
