Unintended may be somewhat true, in that nobody explicitly had that as a conscious reason, but it was an obvious result that they could've known beforehand. So I don't think it's useful at all to call it unintended. Just an easily understood and expected side effect

Libs and your obsession with whataboutism. This one isn't even "whatabout," the point is that the guy in this picture was fine, and in fact the army did everything in their power not to harm him.

In a complete opposite fashion, US drone operators gleefully shot random people and caused unbelievable harm to an entire region.

I proudly defend whataboutism when it's used to exemplify the necessity of some tactic elsewhere or to compare similar cases for better understanding. But this isn't even that

Well we at Hexbear like to assume, rightly or wrongly, that shame is the best to convince some sorts of people to rethink. People have wasted much energy trying to nicely convince these types when it turned out they were entirely unwilling to consider that they are misinformed. Your comments have mirrored how those look with a very reddit-like demeanor. If you're sincere, consider commenting as if you're not on reddit and looking to figure out what's true and people will engage happily. I've learned a lot by doing that.

Remember, the US have spent tens of times more money on propaganda around the world than any other country (remember, US propaganda is different in form than e.g. USSR, but mostly because their way is MORE effective). Europe+the US has spent more in 40 years than the rest of the world ever. Imagine the impact this has on your worldview before reading any news or positions taken in politics around the world.

No prob comrade, 2034 and 2024 can look very similar due to us being so used to seeing 202* dates. I wouldn't delete though, the fact that it's spoken about in media as a fine choice for 2034 still means your point is correct

I've gotten to use PPB a lot more the last couple months. In fact I never used it before so that was cool. Otherwise it just adds some doomscrolling capabilities and also a way to see comrades dogpiling assholes. But the downsides are pretty apparent

Yeah that's in 11 years I think lol. Still though the point stands

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Well you're a dumbass if you can't understand this lol. What the fuck does the American Civil War have to do with this? Nobody forced the slavers to make a separate country. Meanwhile the US forced the south of Korea to set up a government and refuse any discussion with the rest of Korea. You can define invasion however you want but it's nonsense to define how you're trying other "governments tm" being how you define it

Atrocity propaganda is a real phenomenon used by westerners to inflate problems of non-western societies and deflate the genocides done by the west. You've fallen for it

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago

They mean Chinese apologists from the west.

I for one am not apologizing for much of anything really. Mistakes have been made but the party has grown from that and critiques those. None of these are what these anti-chinese people are saying though

Damn, gonna have to make a new account somewhere to keep up the attack then. LGB-without-T folks gotta be attacked into correctness

Someone can't get past liberal definitionalism and thinks that the goal of LGBT+ alliances are based on necessary and sufficient conditions ("attraction, specific, others don't count" claims) instead of understanding the goal of opposing a line of oppression everywhere it reaches. The way homophobia works is very similar to transphobia, so the fight is perfect to combine. Put the oppressors all on the wall because this chain of phobias will only change focus if you don't end it at the root.

Then we have the gay fascists who want to just put others on the wall using similar oppression to appease their own oppressors. It's the same function as fascists at the geographical edge of the imperialist/fascistic expropriation border.

Saying this for the people listening not to you, turtle power. You're an asshole and only shame can possibly make you reconsider your assholery

How are you doing that except for voting for Biden? The class conscious workers who aren't succeeding in spreading that are the ones at fault, like me (and you, though I'm not convinced of you being class conscious). I'm trying my best though, in many organizations around many topics, to push my analysis further and improve it and the organizations to reach the goals of socialism.
