The US always tries to do what they think others are doing. Half of their crazy ideas are because they heard a rumor and/or assumed the Soviets were doing it. Mind control, truth serums, ESP, cat spies.

Alright, I'll bite

someone smarter like me should dictate their lives

You added that as what you imagined the original poster's point was, yet I see no call for action in their post. They simply made an observation. This would be like me saying "I notice that wild animals can often be aggressive when they have young children to protect", then someone else acting like my solution would therefore be to prevent them from having children.

It's a wild and unfounded extrapolation made from your preconceived notion of how this person thinks, based solely on their distain for the ignorance they've observed. I've seen many who make the same observation but their proposed solutions were better education, not dictatorial rule.

In comparison it's wildly different, and some of the comments to make are massive spoilers. I will say the difference in "sacrifice" is much better, as the first betrays some built in concepts, treats one of the childhood friends as disposable, and doesn't really let the main character grow.

In brotherhood they call out some of what I said, plus many more characters have much more enjoyable personalities, even some of the pieces of shit like Kimbley(at least he had principles, insane as they were). I like the homunculi better too, even if they were trying to go for a more emotional and artsy thing. Their father is also has far better reasons in Brotherhood for being absent.

I feel like the first anime tried to tug the heartstrings and/or focus solely on the brother relationship too much. I also hated what was done to Rose for what appeared to be no reason but to make things more emotional.

Brotherhood intentionally skipped over a bit in the start, since people most likely had seen it. Not enough for me to recommend watching the entire older anime though. Maybe up to a certain rain moment.

Pentaprisms from SLR cameras have a similar but slightly different function, so personally as an amateur photographer who doesn't use a SLR but learned about em, I think it's pretty easy for photographers who used such tech to relate.

Networking, we had a remote office in Europe (I'm in the US) and wanted to reset a phone. Phone was on port 10 of the Cisco switch, port 1 went to the firewall (not my design, already in place).

Helping my coworker, I tell her to shut port 10.

Shut port 1, enter.

Ok... office is offline and on another continent...

Having tried to use those, my main issue was the 710 is an unreliable 2.4ghz wireless, when bluetooth controllers all worked much better for me. I couldn't get the 710 to have reliable button presses from more than like 4 feet from my pc, so I ended up just using the 310 wired. Maybe there isn't enough interference on the sub for that to be an issue.

They so cross drew characters from their mangas in one of the extras.

As people have pointed out, they're an advocacy group, and trying to reach less aware people. The fact that Elon banned em shows it was most likely working.

It's not octopuses that octopodes corrects, it's octopi. Octopi is a Latin pluralization, and since the word is Greek and us to i isn't specifically American, I agree with you that octopuses is fine but not that octopi is fine.

... as opposed to American Spyware? I'm no fan of any governments, including both Chinese and American (not fully anti government, just think all need drastic improvments) but while I understand calling it Spyware, the focus on Chinese feels a bit sinophobic. Facebook does bad spying work too, plus has run experiments on users live. Cambridge Analytica stole info for political means as well. Google, ISPs, and many other info sites collect and sell info on you, and many of them will submit info to governments when requested. X/Twitter is run by an egotistical MAGA idiot who is blocking stuff he doesn't like but allowing Nazis to be broadcast to everyone.

They should all be considered similarly problematic.
