No, they can sync with toys like fleshlights now.

Data centers don't give a shit if your GPU has LEDs. Compared to the rest of the server, the power draw is nearly insignificant. And servers push enough air that imperfect flow doesn't matter.

If you have the job now, why would you quit and burn savings instead of searching while you have stable income?

And getting fired for attempting unionization is a pretty slam-dunk case for a labor lawyer, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to go through that hassle.

They make wireless SD cards. Pretty sure USB drives too.

Or you could build one yourself with a raspberry pi or something. I'm sure there's a way to present its storage on USB, then add wifi for you to access that storage.

I'm also in my 30s and I've used a bit over a hundred checks. Mostly for paying rent.

Don't be an idiot, read the article. This is a good thing.

That's a pretty common failure scenario in SANs. If you buy a bunch of drives, they're almost guaranteed to come from the same batch, meaning they're likely to fail around the same time. The extra load of a rebuild can kill drives that are already close to failure.

Which is why SANs have hot spares that can be allocated instantly on failure. And you should use a RAID level with enough redundancy to meet your reliability needs. And RAID is not backup, you should have backups too.

You say that like other generations don't also just save everything to the desktop.

It's not about generations at all. Some people who grew up with early computers may have used them but never really "got it".

I'm not sure I'd want to work somewhere that penalizes me for someone else's faults.

Have you considered finding a union to bring to your workplace?

if he walked out it would have put that entire location, the rest of our team both locally and extended, in a much worse situation. What it wouldn't do is hurt the company or the executives.

That's not your problem, that's the company's problem. You still get paid the same. If you have issues, take them to your supervisor, and go on with your life.

That's stupid. Don't get fired for cause, that only hurts you. Spend your time looking for a new job, then quit and leave ASAP.
