I've been tempted to create a bot that does nothing but search comments in code for misspelled words and create pull requests for them.

If it stays in comments, little chance in breaking a working codebase and I'd have an insane amount of commits and contributions to a wide variety of codebases for my resume.

I'll never be a top tier coder. But I might make management.

People are crazy. Feeling threatened by telling someone "hey, you didn't vote last time. Please make your voice heard by voting" is wearing your persecution complex on your sleeve.

Fragile fucks.

Oh man. That with a nice, cold drink. Often a beer or cocktail. The dichotomy is glorious.

Sweet, sweet, naked, hot bliss.

Being able to build something with off the shelf parts is an art.

Considering LEDs are so good at producing a very tight wavelength, I wonder if this could be replicated with more energy efficient lamps.

Or if non visible spectrum lights can be used to make similar alpha channel masks that don't affect lighting the scene.

Not who you responded to, but I did this to an engine after tearing it apart 3 years before.

It's a weird skill, just being mechanically inclined and a bit ADHD to know how shit just works and goes together.

It makes me want to make more of my own stuff. Sewing isn't terribly hard for basic patterns and machines are relatively cheap

I don't use the service, but I know a lot of banks do it. It's really nice for the bullshit places that add "convenience fees" to pay electronically. Which I always found funny. Since the electronic payment is way more convenient for them than getting paid by check.

See if your bank does "bill pay" where you can add bills and they mail a check for you. It's usually free.

The final purpose is to be happy with someone. With or without kids.

There is no true underlying purpose to a relationship. There are adventures to share together if you are both into them. But there doesn't need to be some ulterior goal. Dating is just enjoying and wanting to spend time together.

Did you have another Lemmy account on leminal.space? If you did and are the same person I'm thinking of. You spend A LOT of time thinking and talking about relationships. And that account always came across like they wanted a relationship but didn't want to put in any work to get one or work on themselves. They always spoke as if there was no hope and already prejudged women as if they never would like them.

I'm planning on getting a dog soon and would love some tips and tricks.

My tip is that when you take your dog for a walk, before crossing any street make them sit and wait for you to tell them to cross.

It helped when my dog got out a few times he would only walk around the block and never cross streets or run into traffic.
