It’s because we can just leave for better positions.

That’s not even close to solving the halting problem. FF doesn’t check if the program has been in its current state before. It literally just checks if 10 seconds have passed without JS emptying its event loop.

There are really few problems that are “impossible.” That is, if you count those customers/managers are interested in. All the rest is just “I’ll need 10 years, 230 million Dollars and a research team”

A touchscreen gives you none of that, and means you have to look away

That’s the reason why I don’t like listening to music on smart phones. Want to skip a track? Fish the phone out of your pocket, turn the screen back on, find the skip button, tap it, wait a second until the garbage app acknowledges that you’ve pressed it, turn off screen, put it back.

While on my 2000’s phone it’s just pressing one of the physical buttons.

You’re talking about two different ways to screw the environment. One is the rampant plastics pandemic, the other is carbon emissions. Paper straws are meant to combat the first, not the second.

What’s magical about that once-a-year limit? I find that quite a lot already.

Then I’ll try another attempt at my answer. “Religious education”, as I use the term, is the class you take from primary school all the way through to your graduation in High School, if your denomination is covered by the school you attend. It’s the default for baptized children in the German state I went to school in. If your denomination is not covered (or you just don’t want R.E.), you can attend a class called “Ethics.” You must attend either your Religious Education class or Ethics.

I wish Amazon didn’t treat their employees so shittily. But I really don’t want to find out which of the stores around me have the thing I want and go there by bus. Even without prime the tickets are more expensive than shipping.

RE as in Religious education. I don’t know what “UU” means.

Children of divorced parents are more likely to get divorced when compared to those who grew up in two-parent families -- and genetic factors are the primary explanation, according to a new study by researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University and Lund University in Sweden.

If we’re talking tags, then I’m with you. But graffiti like this is more art than you find in a gallery nowadays. I’ll take that any time. http://youthincmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Graffiti.jpg
