I am looking to use Android tv and Kodi for offline use in an RV and I think this is what I’ll try next. Didn’t want to have to buy another shield pro just to do that.

It has been a bit over 3 weeks and everything has been really smooth. I forgot to mention last time but I got the R86S-N with the N305. This was due to research showing that the N100 would not be able to hold 5gbits throughput and I wanted to have some wiggle room in case I upped the number of firewall rules.
Getting consistent 5.5gbits down, 5.6gbits up on speed tests. Steam download peaks at 213MiB/s and holds around 190MiB/s(but this could be the max I can get from steam🤷).
No issues with the R86S-N, no random reboots or forced reboots. Opnsense install was quick and didn't cause issues.
Tbf, a lot of these multi gig plans are geared to families, where more than one person could be doing high bandwidth activities. Or even just one person doing high bandwidth things doesn’t cause the other persons zoom call to stutter.
That being said, ain’t no one NEED 20gbits but by god I would enjoy it.
Love this quote from Iron Man 3.
_ “The human element in ‘Human Resource’ is our biggest vulnerability. We should start phasing it out immediately”_
Grayox dropping that hard K.
Ended up buying this, arrived this week, and have it all setup. Was pretty simple to get it configured. Now just need to wait another week for google fiber to be installed.
That is inefficient, we should put windmills on solar panels.
At this point I assume every terrible decision like this is done for SEO reasons.
I have the same SSD thought, except every time they come down HDD prices also go down.
Totally agree, but not everyone has the finances to do a big upfront cost like that. Same story as the $10 vs $50 pair of shoes from a century ago.
Tbf, minimum cost is going to be $4k, so for him/her the minimum was $8k. We don’t know their financial situation but that is a lot of money to cough up.
I use Firefox except for one thing: web serial. Chrome is the only browser that supports it. Luckily you only need it the when setting up an ESP32 for the first time and can do updates wirelessly.
