Word. The large instances are well funded at the moment. I think the funding is lacking on the developer side. Subscribe if you can. I have. :)

If you're not paying with real money or work, someone else is, or you're paying with something else.
Am I reading correctly that there are no breaking changes expected?
If you're already using an Android phone with Play Store on it, the additional exposure through the Chromecast is probably not significant. Otherwise, in addition to the other suggestions, you could grab an Android capable board from HardKernel for example and run plain Android TV on it. For example the ODROID-C4. It's got nearly identical hardware to the CCwGTV. The setup is obviously more elaborate.
Me on an Apple II clone running Pascal interpreter.
Thanks all for the comments and suggestions!
Yeah, also I don't run the latest
version of the app in order to avoid breakage. I pin some tag so the app version so there shouldn't be a significant version mismatch during restore. I think @Esquero's suggestion to also dump the db just in case makes sense too. I'm gonna be writing a backup script / systemd unit anyways, might as well as a couple of lines for that.
To answer my own Q, yes, anything shared by others with you isn't in the takeout backup. You have to go to each such album and do Download All. Then you can import it with immich-go with the correct album name. If you already have that album, it will just add the missing content to it.
I wonder if this is worth doing even if I import with immich-go
which seems to combine this data too.
It's called Efficient Computer. That increases the veracity of the efficiency claims by at least three thousand.
Wikipedia managed to do it on donations only. Federated social media is similar in many ways and I think it's entirely possible that we may get development and hosting to be funded in a similar fashion.
