Wow, your comment is the first time it's been made clear to me that this thing isn't actually see-through and that's just a screen on the outside. I thought it was essentially a sleeker looking Hololens. I've had the wrong impression of this thing the entire time, and now I'm much less impressed by it.

Oh, the statement I linked above is their official stance. It's on mastodon.world but the same admin also runs lemmy.world.

I know kbin has this feature, it calls them collections. You can see some examples on the list of public collections here. They don't seem to federate though, so I'm guessing they're tied to the instance you make them on and can't be subscribed to from others.
