Based on size? Spaceship Earth in EPCOT Center.

On a more personal scale, a lighthouse.

The dark times when Disney was full tilt on direct-to-video sequels that were okay at best.

The Life Aquatic

Wes Anderson movies are an acquired taste. But this one in particular is very accessible, and very funny. And it has a very emotional ending.

The only thing an uninitiated viewer needs to know is that the effects are intentionally low-budget. Just take them as seriously as the characters do, you’ll warm to them.

Reduce just those sites to Baud speeds.

I like my humor like I like my NASA space vehicles - outsourced to the lowest bidder.

I really liked how Korean emergency vehicles used to have color-coded lights. Red for fire, blue for police, and green for medical. It was unusual to see, but it made logical sense. Is it now just all standardize on red like Japan?

All new traffic lights in Japan (at least since the switch to LED) are truly green. It is weird to hear some old drivers say "blue" instead of "green" when referring to traffic lights.

I think I have a picture somewhere of a pedestrian crossing light that's so old it is also more blue than green in color. And it has a frosted glass faceplate instead of plastic.

TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog), once a long-standing trusted source for Apple news, recently became an AI clickbait farm owned by an equity firm. The pictures of the columnists that used to work there are now being posted on fake articles against fake names.

Now all CNET links are suspect for the same reason.

Slowly but surely the web I grew up with is becoming zombified garbage.

Bet they all had location metadata, too.

You’re absolutely correct, but you and I both know that normal people are going to only manage to create a dithered JPG that’s almost half a MB in size.

It doesn’t need to be called World of Warcraft 2, but they really do need to rewrite the entire engine from scratch.
